Mechanical Engineering Department is one of the oldest department of B.I.E.T. Jhansi. Established in 1990 the deptt. offers courses suiting to the requirements of modern industry. The deptt. presents a nice blend of courses focusing on recent development in engineering and technology with special emphasis on design, thermal technologies production processes, automobiles and CAD/CAM.
MEF(Mechanical Engineering Forum) was established in the year 1994-95 under the able guidance of Prof. Pratap Singh, head MED, with the prime objective of all round development of mechanical engineering students. Ever since its inception , it has successfully crossed several milestones of its motto.
President of MEF Professor V.K.Bhatt (Proff & Head) is a dynamic personality who time to time takes steps to facilitate the multi-dimensional development of students. His keen interest and efforts have benefited the students a lot.
MEF is a forum of student for the students and by the student. The student themselves with Dr Aditya Kumar Padap, Assistant Professor, MED(& O.C. MEF) as its advisor manages its affair to promote interaction and to provide an opportunity to students. Apart from this to seek the depth of human brain, it organizes technical quizzes, seminars, group discussion, Article Writing, Situation Reaction Tests etc.
